Introduction

Tea tree oil also named teatreeoil (Melaleuca alternifolia Leaf Oil, CAS NO.68647-73-4) is steam distilled from the leaf and twig of Melaleuca alternifolia.

Tea tree essential oil (Melaleuca alternifolia Leaf Oil, CAS NO.68647-73-4) is so far the most active natural antibacterial agent against bacterial and fungus.

Tea tree oil (Melaleuca alternifolia Leaf Oil, CAS NO.68647-73-4) has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of tea tree essential oil have been determined to be 0.03%-2.0% in vitro studies.

Terpinen-4-ol has function of anti-bacterial and antioxidant.

α-Terpineol has anti-bacterial effect.

1,8-Cineole has Antibacterial and anti-inflammation function.
